Was hungry so I ordered the double bacon hamburger expecting thin patties but was surprised when my order arrived with two large patties. Thought I would be disappointed with the small packages of mustard and mayonnaise but the meat was perfectly seasoned and needed nothing else. The hamburger bun was delicious especially the bottom bun that soaked up all the juices. The lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles were all fresh and crisp.

The French fries were also cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Definitely would stop again in the area and only change I would make would be ordering a single hamburger instead of the double.

I was so in hopes that this place would come up in stars.  However, it just doesn't seem to happen.  They are overpriced and understaffed.  The food is decent, but I would rather not pay so much for something that's just decent.  Also, call me crazy, but I just can't continue to go to a place that you constantly hear people arguing that work there.

While visiting my brother-in-law and his family we decided to try a new place for lunch. We were not disappointed. Clean, bright and open...we were promptly seated and drink orders taken. For appetizers we had fried pickles and calamari. I'm not a fan of either but omg the fried pickles....sooooo good. The food ordered ranged from fried chicken sandwich, hamburgers, fried rice, bacon wrapped shrimp, coleslaw and the fries. I could write a whole review on the fries. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All food was served hot and very plentiful.  Just an excellent experience all the way around. We will be back.

The Lockhart and Bastrop area are very lacking in good places to eat so it surprises me that this restaurant is not busy. The name is a little misleading as the menu is huge and although it has a lot of seafood, it has much more than just steak. Seafood is offered both fried and grilled. The restaurant is large and attractive. Our waitress, Nicole, was friendly and attentive. Husband ordered 12 jumbo fried shrimp. It has been our experience that most restaurants exaggerate size: jumbo usually is closer to medium and sometimes not even that big once breading is removed. Not in this case. Shrimp were JUMBO. Breading light and crispy. Not at all greasy. Cooked perfectly. Chose 2 sides: french fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw was crispy, dressing light, quantity generous. Wasn't the best coleslaw we have ever had but it was a good side for the shrimp. Did I say JUMBO? Brought 1/2 the shrimp home. I had the 6+6+6 fried combo of large shrimp, scallops, and oysters. All cooked perfectly. Scallops easily up there with the best I have had. Perfect size for sweetness and tenderness. Shrimp cooked well--large not jumbo but brought 3 home. Oysters disappointing only in size. Cooked well but small. Had coleslaw side and substituted order of hush puppies for $2 extra for other side. Hush puppies were brown, super crunchy and not greasy on the outside. Inside was dense cornbread. I liked them but they could have had more flavor. Condiments--tartar sauce and cocktail sauce--made in house. Both a little thin, runny without a lot of flavor. A glass of cold white wine at $6.49 was nice with the meal. We were impressed with a seafood restaurant of this quality in Lockhart and will be back. (I want to try the stuffed flounder)

Hubby and I met up with his sister for lunch, we ate at restaurant by same name MANY times when we lived in Brenham and sweet waitress said that yes, brothers owned them. Hubby got the burger and fries, he LOVES their burgers and she and I both got 3 piece catfish w/ fries and salad. She got honey mustard and I got blue cheese. Yummm to salads and our dressing choices. Ordered boudin balls for an app and very good. Fries were tasty and plentiful..catfish was plentiful but lacked seasoning and so was like eating fried wood planks..so disappointing. But I brought mine home along with a pile of fries. The good news is that by the time we were home in San Antonio, fries were soggy but so was fish, so with some seasoning, mighty good eating!! We do recommend
